UPDATED PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy is very important to me. Accordingly, I have developed this policy in order for you to understand how I collect, use, communicate and make use of personal information. The following outlines my privacy policy.

Personal Data I Actually Collect
If you’ve booked & paid me to photograph your wedding, then I will collect your name, address, email address and phone number via my booking form. Contacting you freely whether via email, phone call, text or letter is naturally required in order for me to do my job as your wedding photographer as effectively as is possible. Information retained will be stored in Light Blue Software, which is the database programme that I use to organise wedding information.

You are also required to complete a wedding questionnaire. This features information about your wedding. Your phone numbers will feature on this as will the names of your family and friends who you wish to be in your family formal images. These will be stored online in a password protected cloud called Dropbox.

If you are just making an enquiry on this website but do not actually book me, then I receive your name & email address and phone number. I use your e-mail address solely to provide information about my wedding photography services as you have requested. I may also send one text message to ensure you have received my email. I do not send email newsletters or any other email updates at all so if you do not choose to book me for your wedding photography, you will not hear from me again.

Use of Cookies
Similar to other commercial websites, my website utilises a standard technology called ‘cookies’ (see explanation below) and server logs to collect information about how our site is used. Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at my site, and the websites visited just before and just after our own, as well as your IP address.

A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a website, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.

IP Addresses
IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by my web server as part of demographic and profile data known as “traffic data” so that data (such as the Web pages you request) can be sent to you.

Email Information
If you choose to correspond with me through email, I may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. I provide the same protections for these electronic communications that I employ in the maintenance of information received online, mail and telephone. How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to me?
I use personal information for purposes of providing business information as requested by you.
I will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit my site.

If you comment on the Blog section of my website, it’s public so everyone can see it but you choose what information to leave. I do not collect that information on the comments section.

I may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when I, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of my legal rights.

Email Policies
I am committed to keeping your e-mail address confidential. I do not have a subscription list or newsletter so therefore do not sell, rent, or lease a subscription list to third parties, and I will not provide your personal information to any third party individual, government agency, or company at any time unless strictly compelled to do so by law. My email box is password protected.

I will use your e-mail address solely to provide timely information about Elliot W Patching Photography’s services as requested.

I will maintain the information you send via e-mail in accordance with applicable law.

Policy Changes
I reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time with or without notice. However, please be assured that if the privacy policy changes in the future, I will not use the personal information you have submitted to me under this privacy policy in a manner that is materially inconsistent with this privacy policy, without your prior consent.

I am committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained.

Storage of Photographs & Information
If you book me to photograph your wedding, I keep a copy of all photographs on two different external hard drives. I also keep the images on the memory cards used for your wedding until I have delivered the images to you on your USB. At this point I delete the images on the memory cards. If you have chosen to have a wedding album, a copy of the finished designs and drafts will be kept on an external hard drive.

The edited versions of your images will be saved to two external hard drives. They will also be saved online using password protected galleries.

I provide clients with both online slideshows and online galleries. Images from these are stored online and both are password protected.

Your personal date such as your Booking Form & Terms & Conditions form is also archived once your images and album (if you have ordered one) has been delivered, using Light Blue software.
